hmm. tough scene to shoot. I can see why you selected this shot, though. I've shot a few like this myself, calling them "Hallmark" shots, since they remind me of something I'd see on a mushy romantic card. I don't know what you used to shoot this with, but if it was a compact/point and shoot, you can fool the camera into not giving you as many "hotspots". Try pointing the camera at a slightly brighter spot, and it will dim down just enough to really bring out the color spectrum in the highlights. Nice find.

The large areas of bright light are a little over exposed, and this washes out the rest of the picture. Unfortunately, there is little you can do once taken. better to underexpose the picture, which is always more dramatic, and then lighten it up. Having said that, it is never easy to get this type of shot right, and the silvery effect is quite pleasing.
