I also like this one better altho they are both great shots. This one still has the great lighting, reflections and colors. As well has the branches with the buds and flowers. Very pretty and peaceful . Excellent work.

I saw yesterdays and it was okay but I can really see the difference here! Way better and gorgeous!!! Nice comp and natural :-)

And I did perform some additional post processing, more so.. to see if my first inclinations and according to my eyes ... were correct.

Still not sure, however, forging ahead..

"More Serene?" - Horizon - Shadow/Highlights adjusted and a slight Crop

The resultant image may be too 'bright' for your viewing/monitor.. bear in mind that mine is a CRT.

To the point though (again, I think?) ... used the boathouses' roof lines and that of the far bank to straighten things.


As to your inquiry of sorts?

I, too, prefer this photo.

The less obstructed view results in my eyes looking deeper into the image and not being arrested by the tip of the log coming out of the water.
