This was take on July 3, 2003 at the American Cemetary at Omaha Beach in Normandy. I saw so many of these headstones that said "Here lies in honored glory a comrade in arms known but to God." I was also impressed to see a rose at every one of some 9,000 headstones!

wow 9000 roses... and i cant even get 12 but it is a great picture although im not sure if it is perfect for a desktop background but nice shot

This is how a cemetery is supposed to look like. Solemn and ordered.
I like how you amanged to capture the milky semi-translucency of the headstones' edges. Great work.
