Two Black-Bellied Whistling Ducks (also called Tree Ducks) eating from a hanging bird feeder. They are native to Mexico and southernmost U.S. and very rarely seen where I took this picture on Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs, Arkansas. I used an Olympus-720, 3.2 megapixel.

No, you can't feed them from hand, they are wild. I could get within about 4 meters of them without them flying away.

Aww, help a fella out here. You needed a ground feeder as well that day. They have beautiful soft ruddy coloring. Must have been a treat to find ducks at your feeder

lmfao, nice pic, i noticed how the other duck is sitting on top of the feeder.. almost helping his buddy out because without him sitting there weighing the feeder down a bit the other duck probably wouldnt have a chance. NICE JOB

That's funny. great action shot. This is a one in a million opportunity and you were there "for the moment". This is called "teamwork". One duck sits on it to steady it while the other eats. Wonder if they took turns. Thks for posting.
