it is a pretty picture for sure, but the contrast is a bit too much. i like thatitis over black. color of the candle could be better.

I really like the way the candle's coming out of the corner of the image, that's what caught my eye and made this worth looking at. I wish it were a little less grainy, though. The black background is perfect for the image, too. Keep up the good work, this is very original and interesting!

I think my problem with the black background (and I do have just a quibble) is from the title of this pic. "Christmas" in the title makes me think of greenery and glitter and bright packages... and this looks a bit austere. Now a title like "Light in the Darkness" or "Candle over the Abyss", and I would be fine! Actually, quibbles aside, I love this pic... You have gotten very close, so close your breath may be influencing the flame. The candle is sharp where it needs to be sharp and soft inside.
