A flower's fragrance declares to all the world that it is fertile, available, and desirable, its sex organs oozing with nectar. Its smell reminds us in vestigial ways of fertility, vigor, life-force, all the optimism, expectancy, and passionate bloom of youth. We inhale its ardent aroma and, no matter what our ages, we feel young and nubile in a world aflame with desire. - Diane Ackerman, :: Peace and happiness to all who venture here. Dwight.

Man has always been awed by the sunkissed mountains, the misty woods, the forming of waves in the ocean & other magical powers of nature. Paradise is always imagined as a place of sweet fragrance & high energy. The aromas used in incense transforms us to this magical world of tranquility in just a few moments helping us to concentrate all our powers & recharge our spirits.

OHHHH I love ths shadows! That just makes this photo!...and the quote you have here is perfect...I read a book once that compared the beauty of flowers to male and females...it is so very true...I think this is a tulip opening up isnt it?...very very pretty!!!

But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile. Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.

I wouldn't think such a bright light would render an object so delicate. Beautiful job with this shot, Dwight!

Another beautiful presentation. That center is wonderful. I'm drawn right to it with your use of light and choice of angle.

Absolutely stunning. I represents far more then only the black and white color of which it is composed. There must be some colourful fragrance around this beauty.

Excited indeed June, thanks for your comments and of course you know this bloom is from a yucca plant. Don't usually see them like this, because they hang down all the time. Dwight.
