Grandpa, tell me 'bout the good old days. Sometimes it feels like This world's gone crazy. Grandpa, take me back to yesterday, When the line between right and wrong Didn't seem so hazy. Did lovers really fall in love to stay, And stand beside each other come what may? Was a promise really something people kept, Not just something they would say? Did families really bow their heads to pray? Did daddies really never go away? Oh, Grandpa, tell me 'bout the good old days. Words by Jamie O'Hara::: Peace and happiness to all who venture here. Dwight.

What a wonderful scene! The Fall colors, the reflections on the water, and the sky and even the haze in the distance, make for a picture perfect photo (3Ps). Dwight, thank you for this excellent post!

I need to add this. In looking at this again on my laptop, I too noticed the lone leaf on the branch. However, it looks like Michael beat me to it. ;o( It does add to the photo.

P.S. I was making it my background

What a beautiful lake. Love that foliage bordering the foreground and to the right. Lots of subtle shades of light in there. I think a little dodging would have brought it out even better. Wonderful capture.

Very beautiful capture. I especially like the lone leaf in the tree nearest us. All the others are beginning to show off all the glory of fall and this guy said: Let's get this over-with.
The richness of color, the composition and peaceful fall feeling are what make this an especially nice image.

It's one of those photos that you see when you're having a really bad day surrounded by negative people and you wish for the serenity and beauty that you have captured here. It's a terrific shot. - Alan

What a great photo and the song goes with it so good. You've succeeded in capturing the words of the song with your photo. Another outstanding photo Dwight.
