This is gorgeous! The crispness and detail is stunning and the lovely form of the flamingo really stands out against the black background. Nicely taken, it's a winner!

One of the few shots I've seen that actually make this interesting bird look elegant. The background sets off the plummage so well and it's a lovely work in contrast as well.

thankyou all for your comments - they're all very much appreciated! my only problem with the photo is that i uploaded it at a 6"x4" aspect ratio - so the photo looks squished in the ones you can download from caedes, as it adjusted it to a screen 4x3 ratio. because i cant upload a new one to replace this, (as i'd lose all those comments) here is a link to an 'unsquished' version -
