Your playing definately does a good job of making the ladybird stand out. I am curious if a polarizing filter would dampen the reflection on the carapace? Nice capture :-)

i love this effect.. it creates a strong contrast with the rest of the image.. i have always loved the black/red combination, they form a perfect contrast and look amazing together.. even old greeks knew that and created art using these two colours..the vibrant red really stands out.. such a great image, i love little ladybirds :)
