Very good composition and I like that it is not posed. The colouring is off/overxposure; this is due to it being very sunny outside.Do you have a setting for lighting on camera? (Also can correct in some programs such as Photofiltre or Picasa2)
Overall, a good photo based on the choice of subject and composition.
Hi Alain, thank you for your comments which I find useful,The photo in photoshop looked OK at the time but I can now see your point of veiw and will look at it again in Picasa2.
Regards J.
i like the composition also.. and to me actually i like the colours, and these colours would be perfect for a photographic series. They create distortion and sort of remove clarity in a good way, but probably aren't suitable for most nature shots.
Hi David, Thank you for your comment, I did not have a nature shot in mind at the time because I came across the action whilst on one of my "walk-abouts" in our local country park.
I had observed for a few moments the adult apparently coaxing junior to move but to no avail. You could class as a lucky shot.
Regards Jonty.
It's a clever shot, but I agree with Alain -- the image has an odd purple tinge to it. Also, was the white margin on the right and the bottom intentional?
I find the composition very pleasing to look at but i am distracted by the complex texture from the ground to the bottom right. The title gives the photo a very accessible storyline and is apt to how the angle of the shot posed the birds. Well done for the excellent timing there.

Great timing with the camera to catch this one, and I love the title....it is very apt, and I can truly relate to this one!!..LOL..thanks for sharing...Jacquie
