Those flowers are soooo beautiful!!! I love the blue and yellow markings on the top peddals!! Reminds me of peacock feathers. They look great with the black background!

You are correct: It chokes out waterways and other life cannot sustain because it hogs the oxygen and sucks up all the nutrients. But it is so beautiful, isn't it? Guess the saying is true...no matter how beautiful...too much of a good thing can be bad..
However: this photo...awesome! It is a perfect beauty of a shot!

This macro is just lovely, and you did an excellent job of isolating the subject from any cluttering background. The blueish-purle's offset the white flowers beautifully, and the way the flowers are facing slightly left gives it a coquettish feeling.
