This is well composed Jen. I like the way you included the other buds of the cactus in this image. The pink is one of the pretty shades that I have seen in cacti flowers. Thanks for the post :~)

Oooh how I love cacti!....This is a cracker my love....that pink flower against all the green. it really focuses the eye!...I have miniature cacti, and some of them are beginning to bloom...but the severe cold here is holding them back...so, I have to place them near the heating pipes....well done for this one.....Bob

Isnt it amazing that such prickley thingies have such gorgeous flowers? See? no matter what, flowers are what makes us happy. Imagine being in the desert, stranded, and coming upon this...and if I'm not mistaken, isnt this the cactus that a person is able to eat? It looks like the right one...they are called Prickley Pears...but either way, the bloom is gorgeous!!
