the little fishing village of oyster. i tried to do something different and make it look a bit like a painting. cindy, verena, one of you creative geniuses...HELP!!!

Very nice picture but I gotta get ya on the sky. It looks painted as opposed to the rest of the pic. Sorry but you wouldn't want me to fib would you? Still a super pic but that keeps it from greatness.

This is a gorgeous photograph. The sky and the distant buildings do have a painterly look but the foreground not so much. I will be interested in what some of our effect geniuses have to say.

This shot is bit complicated Jen. Yet its capable of pleasing the eye due to its colors. The boat is right in the middle and looks bit huge that kills quality of the image up to some extent. The back ground is very nice and lots to see. Good shot over all.

I think it does look like a painting, Jen. The buildings across the bay, tend to modernize it, though. Great shot.
Also have a Plugin/Filter called Paint Engine, with many variables. If you're using PhotoShop, it's an .8bf, and fully compatible.

I like this image as it would have been in its original form, although I agree it is a good candidate for the oil paint treatment (which I like but can't do myself). Great composition! I was raised in and around communities like this. Cheers! - Dave

Well it does look like a painting - very stylish work. Nice textures, color and composition. And a good bright white border which makes that blue sky stand out. Whatever you did to this image was the right thing - it's great!!
