this was taken near the glacier in juneau. it was a beautiful day. the glacier is receding about a foot per year.

It is beautiful and too sad that it is receding so quickly. I saw "An InconvenientTruth" last night and parts of it brought tears to my eyes because the great glaciers are going away and the planet is hotter and there is more CO2 in the atmosphere keeping in the heat and the whole ecological system is out of balance. I am receding about a foot per year too and nobody but me seems to worry about that!
But what kind of car are we driving?
If everone would do as I do (go to work on a push bike) that glacier would probably make it after all and grow about a foot per year.
