Beautifully sharp photo and actually a very soothing desktop. Do you know what type of plant this is? Perhaps in the philodendron family? Lovely composition, Jen.
damn, and here i thought i'd see someone half draped with a towel :P ...kidding..the detail here is wonderful, and i too love these greens...they remind me, along with the yellow stem, of an avocado..great post
I saw a peanut stand, heard a rubber band,
I saw a needle that winked its eye.
But I think I will have seen everything
When I see an elephant fly.

I can't get the size I want to enlarge it so that I can see the whole pic....not your fault, it's either my puter or the site here. Thanks, and in my faves. :)PJ
I like closeups of natural beauty and you've handled this well, Jen. Composition and focus are marvelous. The greens are deep and rich and it may be for that reason I find the yellow a tad too bright. Understanding monitors are set differently, it may not be for others, though. It's very pleasing! - Patty

Leave it to you to come up with something so different and elegant. I really like this. The green is so rich and lively. Whatever this leaf is, I guess the holes are a natural part of it and add variety of color. Everything is so rich and clear. This is a keeper. NTUR.

I like this image too. The water drops are creating beauty along with the lovely saturations. There are two points which I would like to improve.
Some overexposure at the left of the image.
Vegnetting
Apart from those this is a eye pleasing piece of work.
Never rebuke while you’re still indignant about a fault committed—wait until the next day, or even longer. Then calmly, and with a purer intention, make your reprimand. You’ll gain more by a friendly word than by a three-hour quarrel.

Astonishing detail on this Jen...you got it good, especially after the rains left it all shiny and lovely for you to capture it close-up..................
This one is really beautiful! I love the details on the water drops, the shading from dark green to yellow, and the angle of the leaf stem is great! (And I like the appendix to your description about appreciating every comment - great idea!)
Ho, Hum, a wet leaf. So says the unimaginative photographer. Wow! a beautiful macro opportunity! Says you. And you have executed this with great skill in composition and lighting. Well done.
The name ChuPat is derived from my nickname Chuck and my wife of 34 years name Patti. Her photography will appear on Caedes as well from time to time. I consider myself an advanced amature not anyway close to being a professional. I have just taken photography more seriously since I have switched to digital. My profession has always been associated with pohtography in one way or another. Any criticism I receive will be well appreciated.
