This is wonderful Jen and so well composed with clarity and great color. Where is this? The sand is so beautiful and white. Terrific post and thanks for sharing it.
Can't always give individual thanks but I am so appreciative of everyone's comments and input. I truly enjoy seeing all of your posts and am always happy to see you at My Gallery. Thanks, Anita
This was an exposure challenge which you managed quite well. Not allowing that light sand road to "wash out" is commendable. Perfect exposure in all areas. You sure do have a way of appearing then disappearing then reappearing. Stay around awhile, will ya?
Nice work.

Hello Jen, I know it's only been a week since you were last on site but welcome back!!!
Super-dooper image - I particularly love feeling the sand between my toes as I follow the gentle curve of the road up to the lighthouse. Nice touch to be able to peep through the house window and out to sea.
I love this! I love the way the you captured the sandy road winding up to the lighthouse. Just a great composition. It's in my favs. BTW, where is this lighthouse?
Tracy
Still a bit busy with projects but please know that I appreciate you all, and will stop by and visit your images as often as I can. My best to all my friends.
Sincerely,
Carrie
I love the lighthouse, but what also intrigues me is that soft sand approach to it. I can feel my feet digging in just a bit and the whispy clouds complete a perfect image. Well done, Jen!

I noticed when I was reading all the fine comments that have been posted before me that there was quite a bit said about the sand, so I thought, well, I won't say anything about that, but when I viewed it full size, I began to see why all those lovely comments were made. To me the sand on the road leading us up to the lighthouse is like butter..odd thing to say about sand, I know, but that's the impression I'm left with..that it's so smooth and deep that it would flow over my bare feet as I felt its warmth on my toes..As PatAndre said you've performed a near miracle with the handling of the lighting in this presentation....as it would be very easy to have not captured the road, as she mentioned, but also the brilliant white on the tower of the lighthouse itself, but you accomplished that masterfully and thus presented this cleanly. I also love the range of beautiful color from the gritty greens on the tufts of the tough grasses to the ebullient blue of the sky, and the ranges in between on the roof of the building to the right of the lighthouse and the differing sand color on the drift. Everyone else has commented on the DOF, clarity and perspective...I have to agree :) This is in my faves..definitely on my desktop...:)PJ
Welcome back, Jen! This is so well done technically and it's a real treat to see. Makes me want to take off my shoes and have a walk in that beautiful sand! - Patty

I like this shot very much. This is a good shot Jen but I wont say its great for few reasons.
1. The value of a lighthouse is when its captured with the ocean
2. The real value of the lighthouse is when its dark. So the time you have chosen the wrong time to shoot it
3. Early morning or afternoon will rock this place I'm sure so that lacks.
4. Sky needs some more drama
But you can improve the saturation and tweak the image a little to give some punch I'am sure.
Beautiful picture od these lighthouse. Drive concerning this sand will not turn out better than expected, what thinks you if you the complete end must run? Every time sand in your shoes and then empty.
Jen, I am so far behind to comment on all of your great pictures, but I can't resist at least saying I agree with most everyone above who loves this shot. I like the sense of isolation and of course the technical expertise you have demonstrated. I will say a bit about some of your others as well, but there is no need for you to respond to my comments.
