You are getting the hang of butterfly photos. The hardest part is good DOF Iike the antennae colors.

Found this in VB.. Had to comment. Amazing. Textures look so similar, yet is the plat not starwort? It looks so spiky and the insect is so soft. Amazing. And the colors contrast well too. Anyway, to make a long story short, your image has contrasts and similarities all in one and almost in the same places. way cool

I met her in the voting booth as well, and I had no idea whose it was, of course because I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO far behind in my commenting, but I gave her a 10 and wanted to give her more, but my mouse doesn't reach any further to the right than that..lol :)PJ

Lovely, Jen. I love the black background and blurred leaves. Really makes the pretty white of the butterfly stand out.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

The butterfly is really neat but what really caught my attention was the leaves. I can't believe the detail in them. Another great shot!

The thing that goes the farthest, towards making life worthwhile, it costs the least and does the most, is just a pleasant smile.

Excellent shot. I think if the image was large enough, I might have cropped the top and right side a bit to emphasize the butterfly. Just nitpicking though.
