here's another a goodie....from of my freezing morning photo tour of the area. it is 10 miles south of flagstaff, az. the elevation is about 6500 ft. the trip from phoenix takes about an hour and a half. it's mostly a summer community but i don't like it then. this is my idea of mountain beauty..., not as dynamic as jerry's shots but still sparkling and gorgeous. thanks in advance for any comments.

It's wonderful..I have lived all over the map of AZ so I know most any place that's posted and I love this pic...it's in my folder on my hard drive..there is so much to see and experience in that great state..and don't sell yourself short, my friend...we are all artists here and we all see the world differently...equally as beautiful, plus you know how I feel about all your presentations....Jen...you are on a level all your own that you've created by your wonderful posts.

A beautiful wintery composition Jen. I don't think of snow when someone mentions AZ. Thanks for sharing.

You wouldn't think white birches/aspens with white snow would look that impressive, but this is outstanding. Of course the pines and other evergreens help as well. Glad you mentioned your location.

I love the temperature..of your picture that is. It has that cool look. The trees really contrast and stand out against the snow A really good capture Jen.

These birch trees are gorgeous! This has the appearance of a painting. The striking super white snow on the white birches, and the greens of the pines, is a beautiful sight. And this is a fantastic desktop view. Thanks Jen, for this lovely image :))

I need to catch up on things so can't comment too much. But I love all of your fine images. I might be lurking in the background :)

Nothin wrong with this, girl. It's very pretty. I know this area well. Trucked across I-40 and south on I-17 many times. Beautiful country. Better yet, I love trees with white bark. They are always so beautiful. Nice capture.

The birch trees look happy in the snow and the surrounding white (snow) is quite soothing Jen. A nicely composed capture with prefect clarity. It's a lovely sight.

Certainly not as wide angle as Jerry's shots, but very effective with the white bark against the white snow. Beautiful!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Was looking through your gallery...this is such a good shot...I love the struggling pines that reach out with an underabundance of needles! I love the white-barked trees...the basic black and white...This is a saver...Bill.
