came across these little doves yesterday. it's fascinating how their coloring protects them. i particularly like their eyes. thanks in advance for any comments (which certainly are not necessary). enjoy!
It's always amazing how well animals can blend in with their surroundings and it is even better yet when we are allowed into their space to capture their image.
I love it Jen. Thanks for sharing.
*You will have noticed that I haven't been commenting as much on your fine images!..This is because of the pains in my hands!..the constant use of the keyboard, makes this difficult..so, my dear friends..I can only apologise to you all in advance!*

Amazing...you can tell they're all from the same family, perhaps even quadruplets !!!!
It's a good darned thing that your DOF was as close as it was and that the background blurred, or I think we'd be playing "Where's Waldo" on this one .. :)
Neato pic. The eyes are indeed cool. I liked the red foot, nicely in the center of the pic, helping me see the dove! And technically, the color is echoed in the blurred something in the upper left and in a couple muted tones in some of the rocks.
I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.

Great capture of the doves Jen. They do blend well with their surroundings and you've presented that very well. They are def eying you as well though :) Goof job.
Please know that I enjoy your work even though I don't always get to comment. I try to look at (and enjoy) all your new posts and always appreciate the time you take to stop in at my gallery as well. Have a happy day ;) Anita
Super photo. The colors of the birds are very like their surroundings which I am sure helps them when hawks and other predators are around. Your capture is so nice and sharp against the blurred background that we can see them quite well, however.
They do blend well, don't they? And they have such nice eyes as you said. It's amazing the variety of creatures God made for us to enjoy! Nice shot, Jen!
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

What lovely little "characters" look at the looks on their faces...soooooooo cute!! I absolutely adore how they blend in with the stones...the colours are so soft...and to know no other animal will "get them" is so good too.It makes me wish I could do a pencil sketch of them..something I just can't seem to do...but maybe I'll try... I really am enjoying looking at this...I cant seem to stop..hehe..thank you so very very much..verena
Beautiful birds that blend so well in there surroundings. That, I believe, is a safety feature that is incorperated into wildlife. It would be harder for a predator to spot them. I like the earthy colors Jen and the birds look cute.
Outstanding imagery!! Terrific tonalities and tantalizing textures give the viewer much to take in!! Marvelific markings on these beauties and perfect with the backdrop to show how well they camouflage within an enviroment!!
Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.
