located at giza near cairo. cheops (closest) is said to be the only one of the original seven wonders of the world still in existence. i wish you could see them up close so you could appreciate both their size and the size of the blocks with which they were made. amazing.

Yup, they certainly are huge. What a great shot you got of them too, Jen. A classic.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Truly amazing Jen. And a GREAT Shot!
I have actually climbed to the top of Cheops, and got a picture of me standin on the top of it. It was back in "84", and it's a long story.:-)

You're right though. You Don't Climb it, you "Butt hop it". It took me and 4 other people 20 minutes to get to the top. We were "under a time restraint", so to speak. :-)

It was a heck of alot easier comin down! :-) Great Shot!!

Great subject, but you and your camera never fail to amaze me no matter what you're looking at.

Since I can't be there along with most of the Caedes contributors, keep sending those great photos. We can dream.

A fabulous shot of this pyramid Jen - the only real view I have had of them was sailing down he Suez what seems like hundreds of years ago. TYour pictures are making me want to return. you are taking us on a wondrous journey - thank you :)
