this windmill is about one fourth the size of a normal one. i suspect its purpose is to pump water out of the land and into the canal. for those of you who have asked......i took it in the netherlands. i think you'll see it at its best if you view full frame. enjoy! thanks in advance for any comments or suggestions.

Did you really take this photo in phoenix, Jen?
It is a typical 'Dutch' landscape!
Nicely done!

Ya, I could swear that this was taken in Holland. I like the image a lot. I like that the windmill isn't suck a huge and obvious focus.

A beautifully refreshing view. I think it is the waterway leading us into the shot that gives that feel. Everything is so bright and clear. Really nice shot with the little yellow flowers adding to the mix.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes
