Wow, this one is really special. I love the shiny green leaves that play a big part in this shot and the fully opened petals of six and three. These flowers remind me of the lotus. Another really beautiful shot, Jen.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Jen, to me this is the best image up till now in your 'magnolia grandiflora' series. Therefore not necessary to say that it's a beautiful image again (lol). Regards, Cornelius
I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.

Now THIS is the ONE that I would for sure love to paint. It is just perfect setting in the leaves as it is too.I would like to do one canvas of the whole flower and then another of ONLY the center....gosh I can hardly wait!! Thank you so very much for such beautiful postings...you really know how to do this. I am still wondering what kind of camera you are using tho. And to think you live in AZ....wow..I would never have thought they'd have Magnolias there! In Louisiana there were tons of these beauties...but in any case, this is magical..you did good by allowing the green shiney leaves to surround this beauty...thanx so much my friend..Verena
Always remember - Follow the Yellow Brick Road, it will lead you to the Emerald City and OZ A very nice place to be. Trust me on this one, I live there. :-)................ MY GALLERY - THE LION****Another Site I'm AT - MY DA HOMEPAGE
I think I'll let Verena's comment stand as the one that best represents the way I feel about this flower...all except the painting part. I'll leave that in her capable hands. It's the best one yet, and that's really saying a lot...faved here of course until that wonderful day when I get my computer back.
I won't be uploading images until my computer comes out of its sudden death coma. I am commenting using a shared machine that doesn't have PhotoShop or my images on it. I'll let you help me tear my hair out.
