it looks like this old castle with its lovely terracing might be being used as a hotel. i love the way the land and the rocks work their way down to the bottom of the picture. there are lots of castle details if you look for them...........thanks in advance for your comments. enjoy! ......................................................in the next few hours 12 family members are coming to visit and will be staying at my house for 1 week upwards to 2 weeks.. .....my daughter and 3 children are coming from virginia and my sister and her family are coming from kauai. even though i'll be looking in to see stuff i won't be participating for awhile so forgive me for not commenting on your uploads. have fun!

This castle looks as though it is growing right out of the ground. Great composition, and I like the other-wordliness of it.
Have a great time with your housefull of visitors :)

Love the way the hill that the castle sits on has a layered look...rather like a cake. nice composition Jenn.

A hotel, eh? I think I wouldn't mind spending a night there! lol What a lovely yard they have; no need to mow. And you be the one to have fun! See you when all the excitement slows down!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Beautiful castle but where's the rhine? Very nice landscape. I hope the visitors don't wear on your nerves too much. Have fun.

I like castles (we got some great ones here) and this is a well composed shot. I like the rock in the foreground and the kinda step things sort of remind me of Machu Picchu in Peru. Nice image.
