Those clouds are like 'ghostly' figures a dancing for Halloween!
This is excellent dear Jen! .. the colour of that sea, a cross between a deep blue and green is superb! ..and lovely to look at! ... composition is good too!.. it would be an idyllic place for a relaxing snoozzzzzzzzzze!!
*You will have noticed that I haven't been commenting as much on your fine images!..This is because of the pains in my hands!..the constant use of the keyboard, makes this difficult..so, my dear friends..I can only apologise to you all in advance!*

Wow Jeenie. It looks like the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse
riding in to shore. Hope they're in a good mood, but they must be to be a part of such a glorius scene. Sand, sky and water. Perfect colors almost like a rainbow on the ground. Love it.
Very nice post.
Such a perfect picture. From the action in the clouds through the beautiful blue sea with the gorgeous coloring of the waves rolling in, leaving the trails on the sand from the receding water. Excellent shot, thanks for sharing with us.
I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

the pic is SO dramatic!
three layers: the sand, the sea, and the clouds make for a perfect reality... and colours are very vivid.
I'm fascinated.
thanks for sharing with us!
This is nice, but i thought it was a little busy. My eye wasn't sure what to focus on first, the interesting clouds in the background, the rocks in the foreground, or the wave about to break.
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
Splendid! I love the unsullied texture of the sand and the gorgeous color of the breaking wave. Combining all that with the dramatic clouds makes an all around winner.
And? Did you catch that wave yourself too?
I am sure you must have another photo with you riding a wave on a surfboard!
Anyway, this is truly an very pretty sight. Where is it?

I've cruised through here before, and each time I say: "Gosh I have to tell her how beautiful that photo is..." Jen, what an impressive capture! I bet every one of us would love to spend there at least one weekend and enjoy this picturesque beach.
Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

The ravaged sand looks like tree rings from the waves swirling around the small pile of rocks. And the clouds look like a backdrop to a setting of a pirate ship setting sale. Very well done!
