this was taken at ecola state park in oregon. it looks south and west. in the distance you see a rock with a bit of a pointy top. it is haystack rock. jerry told me that haystack is a favorite for photographers. this is the closest i've been to it. it was a wild and windy day. enjoy!

This an incredible capture of one of the most gorgeous stretches of coastline on the planet. It's a shame you didn't get to Cannon Beach which is where Haystack Rock is located. Great food and shops.

Wonderful capture of the landscape and the weather. It doesn't look like you would've been able to stay there for long.

Amazing landscape shot, Jen! Thanks for posting this beauty. It looks a bit blustery with those waves and thick clouds.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Yes, a very popular target for photographers and yours can hold its own with any I have seen. What inspired you to choose to travel the Oregon coast at this time of year?

Just the sort of picture I particualrly like - an excellent shot in my opinion :) It is uncannily similar to the west coast area of NZ I have just visited.
The touch of almost liquid sunshine on the waves is superb.

That's a dramatic looking picture, with those awsome clouds, and the water moving in towards the shore. I love it.

I can see why a lot of photographers go there. Awesome shot and I like the angle. The waves looks so powerful as do the rocks. Nice one Jen.

You certainly don't need my input here, but I want to tell you how much I've enjoyed this shot since I saw it and I'm glad that Sir Digi gave you a quest. Turned out beautifully.

Wow, looks like a stormy day! The sea is fierce and full of energy - a magnificent view. The pale green of the sea is a photographers delight, expecially with the waves and foam. Sure looks chilly! Thanks Jen, for this northwestern view :)
