st. abbs, scotland, is a place that i've seen in bob's collection. i've always loved it and so we went there. this is not in the town. it's on the headlands which are extreme and beautiful. climbing to this place was a little on the scary side. lighthouses are one of my favorite things. on this trip i found several. you'll be seeing more. in the meanwhile, this link will get you to information about this light. enjoy! thanks for any comments. http://www.stabbs.com/lighthouse.html

Stunning capture, Jen and definitely worth the climb to get such a great close-up. I love how you've managed such excellent detail and contrast in the dark foreground rocks and the stark whiteness of the lighthouse against the sea.

Jen!! So you made it home. I can't wait to see all the shots you got on your trip, I bet there are hundreds. This is a nice first post, captures the rawness of some of the places you've visited.

I think Ann Marie said it all for me. I like the way you set this shot up. I like light houses too and this one is especially charming.

During my active career I preferred to see them from the seaside, but after my retirement I like to see them from the shoreside as well, lol.
Wonderful capture Jen. Thanks for sharing it.

I can see all those steps below - worth the effort though I would think to see the views from such a vantage point - I have yet to visit St Abbs and you make me feel guilty for not doing so! Glad you got to see some of beautiful Scotland Jen and glad you and Matt arrived home safely - looking forward to seeing all your photos.
