oregon coast (looking south) from ecola state park. enjoy. it's about 111 degrees here in phoenix. i thought this shot might cool me off! thanks for any comments.
Great pic! I wouldn't wanna be off to the sea on this particular day but wouldn't mind gazing at it through the window while seeping my Earl Gray tea! You see, one sign of a good pic is this very same thing: it takes you off to the land of dreams like a magical steed! Well done!
Outstanding capture, Jen. Absolutely love this posting, wow. The action of the water is really fabulous. It would be so great to be around the ocean again with the sounds and sights, it brings back great memories.
We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"
Water/Ocean....is good, but not here I'm more topical. As for the image..You really know how to position that camera to get a fantastic shot. I like how the clouds/fog is all over the distant trees. Great work as always! Very KOOL.
I love this perspective. Colors, view, movement on the sea. Heavy with mood as the saying goes... my son just walked by and commented, he said "the only down side..... I want to see the rest of that view". : )
My memories of the Oregon coast are just this - damp, windy, swirling waves and mist, wild and untamed. I never saw greys look so attractive, there are so many different tones of them in this. Combine the lines of the mountains and clouds with the shapes in the water and the rocks in the foreground and you've got one terrific composition.
Ahhhhh home sweet home!! I'm going there day after tomorrow...at this lovely Pacific Ocean, no matter what the weather, it is always filled with passion and excitement. This is a gorgeous shot and I'm so glad you visited our lovely state...nice work..verena
This is a staggeringly good picture Jen. I had it in VB and did it proud. It's got so much emotion from that dark, louring sky and those wonderful rocks. Also the composition and the lighting is wonderful. (I'm so glad it's hot where you are. It's really cold and wet here in England at the moment. We put the central heating back on today it was so cold!!)
