last night i posted back to the red rocks. it didn't come up for a long while so i went to sleep without seeing it. when i looked at it this morning i was somewhat shocked at what i saw. i couldn't figure out what happened to the color what i thought was a really nice shot....especially the red (title...red rocks). so... this morning i did a little research. it had been a 16 bit shot which i had changed to 8 bit. the color scheme was adobe pro rgb which i changed. before loading it it looks the way i'd like it to look. tell me what you think. thanks and ENJOY!

Really beautiful Jen! I saw your earlier version and liked that too as it showed the layers of rocks. ...and I often suffer from images losing colour after being uploaded. I just boost the saturation a little or open in Photofiltre which seems to have the same effect on the images, then I can see how much I need to boost the colours and contrast.

I like them both. Each had a certain mood. I'm not sure which one I like better. I won't even attempt ot choose one over the other.

There ya go! That's more like it. I had sRBG problems last year, and it's always a relief to get the format straightened out.

Love the color....it's perfect.

I like this one real well Jen. I also like the other one as well. I agree with Allison about the mood in the first post. They both are easy on the eyes. This fits the title better. Two great posts.

Heck, Jen, it's a really fine image either way. I like the darker colors and contrasts of the other one, but this one is brighter. It's really a hard call. I love the shot!
