i've always been fascinated by waves. the most exciting moment (to me) is just as they're about to roll over. this wave(line) isn't tall but i love its breadth. the photo. was taken at haena state beach in guess where......kauai. enjoy the beautiful pacific. thanks in advance for any comments you'd like to make.

A broad beautiful wave that leaves us in anticipation of the break we know we've all experienced live or in our imaginations. What I find really striking too are the intense aqua tones of the water. Great diagonal perspective on the shore line and the wave in constrast to the straight line of the horizon. You've brought us half way around the world in just these last two postings! Thanks, Jen. I love every trip.

Why is that the most satisfying moment? I think it is too. Perhaps it's because the energy is all there, drawing itself up and waiting to be unleashed. Then there's that 'sucking back' moment in the sea before it crashes forward again. You captured it all here Jen, together with lovely blues and yellows and a perfect sky.

Beautiful shot Jen. The water, the sky and the beach. It just doesn't get any better than this. I see something very sensual about this photo. Maybe it is the anticipation of which you speak.

There must be a lot of room in your camera : you captured the whole clichés of sea with green vegetation, dark rocks, a blue cloudy sky, waves ready to crash, the sand of the beach... You did it again : you made my day.
