Tanzanian red-billed hornbill Tockus ruahae Jen,As opposed to the Northern Red-billed Hornbill Tockus erythrorhynchus.Split into 5 sub species.He must be pretty old as their backs are normally mottled..It's great being an ornotholigist,Doreen says I'm away with the birds most of the time,can't quite figure out what she means by that..There again I might have just googled it..Nice shot anyway...All the best over the holidays..Richie.
It looks like the Jimmy Durante of the bird world. It could be a Tanzaniam Devil too. Great capture and I agree with Biffo. Money is on google. Very colorful shot Jen.
