OREGON...this was taken quite late in the afternoon, hence the rocks being light on one side and dark on the other. i liked the detail on haystack, the wave like look of the sand, the ocean and the puddle with the rocks in it. hope you do, too. thanks in advance for any comments. ENJOY!

It is a good scene Jen. I liked the same things that you liked in this shot. I can not help but think how Haystack has changed since the beginning. With all the shaping done by the water it has changed, but so little, we will never notice in our lifetime.

Good post.

Where's the Hay ? Did it get washed away ? Darn, I'm too late.

All kidding aside Jen this is a Wonderful Capture as all your Images are.

Beautiful shot Jen. The sand color is such a pleasing golden tone. The colors of the big Haystack, sky and sand, sure compliment each other.

One thing missing in this shot ... a boat! I still think it is beautiful the way it is. Tide out (?) adds to it.

A superbly composed scene Jen. I like the wavy patterns in the sand & the rock textures. Wonderful natural colors too & I feel as if I'm present on this beach looking out at Haystack Rock. Well done.

A beautiful sunny day but really really cold, burr and the windchill makes it a lot worse.

Ah, Jen.... I saw this on the front page and I just had to come in and comment. This is a superb pic of Haystack Rock. You've managed to take one of the best pics I've seen of this and it's like I'm standing on the beach watching it. Since I've been there and seen it, I think I can speak with authority.

Good on you, my friend.

Saw this on the front page too and dropped by to comment... I've seen it in person and, like PJ, I think this is a wonderful image of the Haystack... Good goin'!
