the lighthouse is in Crescent City, California. In May of 1855, Congress appropriated $15,000 for the construction of a lighthouse on the tiny islet, which is connected to Battery Point by an isthmus at low tide. it is now privately owned. i've heard that agate collectors look all around the base of the lighthouse and find the beautiful stones. thanks in advance for any comments. ENJOY!

Did you use some HDR on this, Jen? It looks sensational, no matter how you got there!

Wow Jen. You did a great job considering the weather conditions. I am glad you had a closer view as well. Great shot and the atmosphere is wonderful. Too bad we can't feel the wind and hear the waves. Whoa! I think I can. Great post.

Stunning Jen. Have to agree with Tick, Wow. This would be a great place to live, I think that would be so neat. Love the sound of waves crashing up to the rocks and shore line.

I really love this wonderful shot, even if it makes me homesick, but thanks anyway. I'm saving it just the same.

I really love this one, I admire your art. I only need a blue sky, and the capture is perfect for me.
