a beautiful day was spent here today. the path in the middle is the bright angel trail. the area with lots of trees is known as indian gardens. bright angel follows the trees off to the right and down and disappears from our view. the trail that branches off to the left is known as plateau point. one can see the colorado river from there. the grand canyon is HUGE. thanks in advance for any comments. ENJOY!

I would say breathtaking but it is such an overused word. I think you get my meaning. Such a grand panorama Jen. Your best shot since you took your bath. Love all those colors.
Oh, faved by the way.

I've been within 100 miles of the Grand Canyon about a dozen times & actually never have seen it in person. A breathtaking view you captured Jen. Love the variety of colors & textures ... nature is amazing.

Impressive, breathtaking and beautiful Jen. Wish I could see this with my own eyes. Don't know if I will ever have the opportunity, but if not, your image is a very good alternative. Thanks!

The Grand Canyon certainly is huge and spectacular. It's amazing to think it's all caused by running water! Great shot.

Very nice shot - the different colors in this are beautiful. Sometimes our 'Grand' can be a challenge to photograph because the views are so vast. You've done very nicely here.

Wow..texture's abound in this one!! Those who are afraid of getting lost in the Grand Canyon should not look at this shot...because you just get lost in it!! I'm on the fence as to whether it might be a bit over-sharpened and, for some reason, I'm getting a very very slight "harsh" feeling from the shot. I'm thinking you've used HDR for these shot and the contrast might be a bit too high.

But, you've still got yourself an awesome shot. It's a unique Grand Canyon shot that you should be proud to hang your hat on. It's going right into the faves!!

*edit* you can see a person in a light blue shirt hiking the trails at the very bottom center of the shot...it gives it such perspective. The canyon is HUUUUUUUUGGEEE!!!

Love it, this is fantastic composition, leaving out the horizon was a great call. I've been to exactly where you took this shot and I can say figuring out how to best frame your shot is difficult due to the sheer size of it all...hard to get that impact into one frame. But you did well here. Into my favs.
