can you see it? what do you see? this was taken at coal mine canyon on the navajo reservation in northern arizona. i should note that today (in phoenix) it is 114 degrees outside. a severe heat warning is in effect. for the homeless, etc. there are cool places for them to go and water for them to drink. it's just soooooo hot. i, as an elderly lady, prefer the comfort of my house. thanks for any comments. ENJOY!

I see Chief Head of Rock WC. Nice colors. I have never seen red coal. :)

Honestly, if it's a profile then it's Moe the bartender from the Simpsons. But hey who knows what his ancestry is! Set against a perfect sky this one Jen, very nice.

Still laughing at Nigels remark but the more I look at it the more I do see Moe The Bartender.

Well, Nigel's comment is so funny. I don't watch the Simpsons. I really like this capture Jen and to me it look like a powerful looking chief with holding his head up high with the hair flying in the wind.

I love all the layers, textures and magnificent colours.

Yes, I see a Native American face. Beautiful detail, Jen. We have gone above 75 degrees all summer yet. Waiting for the heat here and now I know where it went.

I see a dog. Maybe it's Navajo dog, but it's a dog to me. LOL. Nice shot.

I see a Sphinx, great shot, I love the texture of the rocks. Try to keep cool, my sister lives in phoenix too and her A/C won't go any lower that 84 degrees in the house. Take care of your self and I hope it will cold down for you soon.

If I look at what i think most are considering the brow, I can see a birds head, with the pinpoint of light being the eye. Overall, I would tend toward Ape. At 114 degrees, I would rather put up with shoveling snow.
