i enjoyed the contrast between the orange leaf and the rocks which are neutral and underwater. the leaf was not added. it was there from the beginning. thanks for any comments. ENJOY!
I like the way you captured the concentric ripples. The leaf seems almost to be floating above the water. It does make a striking contrast between the brilliant orange of the leaf and the muted shades of the stones below.
Had me a little worried what the photo was going to be with a title like that! Great capture of the ripples! Fall is on it's way when you start to see leaves like this!
Nice contest entry WC. The water looks so cool and inviting. I wonder where this leaf will end on its journey downstream? I am sure it will nourish the growth of something beautiful.
Love this kind of shot Jen and this is done to perfection. The warm deep golds of the leaf are perfectly set off by the earth tones of the rocks, and the ripples are terrific. A1.
And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."
Beautiful, Jen... The restless water looks so icy cold and the warm colors of the leaf isolated in the stream says so much about the changing seasons...
