Jen... I prefer this one! #3. The vertical does something to me (kinda squeezes my head from the sides)... this one opens up to me. But then it might just be my preference for horizontals fitting my monitor. One's brain can do weird things at times. :o)

I like this one WC but the vertical post really pulls you in while this one invites you in. They are both beautiful. I think I see an Indian Trail Tree in the woods.

Well, I decided on #4 as my favourite, even before I found I was outnumbered. I do like them both, but, you have my vote, and I'm sticking to it. Very nice post for me to keep.

I too like #4. I think I have found my reasoning for it as well. While # 3 is well composed I find myself looking more vertically at the photo simply because the plants and trees on either side of the photo cover the beautiful sky. and in my opinion I get to focus specifically on more depth because the sky and creek in the foreground on #3 are more present. Also the blue sky is reflected beautifully in the creek on #4. Either way thanks for sharing.
