this was taken on a very cold day in the late afternoon. i particularly liked the lighting on the mountain. thanks for any comments. HAPPY THANKSGIVING! ENJOY!
Suppose this is Mount Olympus belonging to the Olympic mountain range in western Washington, Jen. Agree with you about the lighting. Really a very fine image. Regards, Cornelius.
Jen - The color is quite special; the greens have given way to late day blue. The sweeping line of the ridge leading to the first peak draws the eye to the snow capped second peak. Well done! Thad
Well captured! I like the coloration: the slight yellow tint of the clouds make a great contrast to the blue of the mountain. The lines of the picture sweep you up to the summit.
Good balance in how you positioned the series of ridges and small peaks leading up to the big one. The golden gleam on that big one is delightful. I love how the image gets progressively lighter as your eye travels into it, kind of evokes a journey towards ...something... light....beauty....wonder...
I wonder why mts. can look so blue. The Blue Ridge Mts. look purple to me.lol Beautiful place and nice image. From this view the peaks look really high.
Agree with you about the lighting. Really a very fine image.
