this is the uncropped version of from the bridge. maybe it's better this way. i was trying to do rule of thirds but in turn probably added too much noise. anyway i think you'll like this best full frame. thanks for any comments. ENJOY!

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Jen, the 'rule of thirds' is not a dogma but only a directive, so don't let deteriorate your photographs in quality by applying this rule that strictly.

Hi Jen - the rule of thirds applies to the subject of the picture. If the sky or the inlet is the subject, then you have accomplished your goal. Water shots are difficult to do, because of the blue sky and water causes color blurr. You have avoided that also. One of the unwritten rules of photography is: forget the rules, and present what you see, to the best of your abilities. You almost screwed up that rule, but I am glad your regained your senses. :) The full frame shot looks good to me. Keep up the good work. Moose

I like the "burning clouds" you've presented here. Good detail on the water, too, especially considering the low light present there. The one thing I'm not too sure about is the outcrop of land on the extreme right of the frame. I'm not sure if it should be cropped, or if perhaps a slightly wider shot might've been helpful, to show more of it, and thus provide a more even visual balance.

Not to take away from the overall aesthetic though, which is definitely very pleasing to the eye.
