Y'know I've seen images of these kind of geologic formations but always from a distance. This close-in shot is as outstanding as I thought it would be. The angle at which you've captured it allows the lines in the sky to mimic the lines of soil shift below the pinnacle, making all of them, those in the sky and the soil, appear as though the pinnacle itself was casting them. Plus the horizontal lines of strata are paralleling the distant horizon line. Add in the very strong diagonal running from the top right to the bottom left, the great colors, and the good focus, and you've got a winner here, Jen. The only suggestion would have been to boost the green saturation just a bit to make the brush pop a little.
