This is located near the Blue Ridge Parkway. It's a little difficult climbing out when the temp is near 100 degrees with lots of humidity. Well worth it, though. ........ Here's a little info:Natural Bridge, in the eponymous Rockbridge County, Virginia is a geological formation in which Cedar Creek (a small tributary of the James River) has carved out a gorge in the mountainous limestone terrain, forming an arch 215 ft (66 m) high with a span of 90 ft (27 m). It consists of horizontal limestone strata, and is the remains of the roof of a cave or tunnel through which the creek once flowed. Natural Bridge has been designated a Virginia Historic Landmark and a National HistoricLandmark.".................................................Thanks for any comments. ENJOY! I can smell the sunlight on your skin. Listen to them. Children of the night. What music they make!

Nature creates some fascinating formations. I like how you captured the depth of the Natural Bridge. Beautiful greenery too. Superbly captured, Jen.

Love it, Jen! Especially when I can imagine the effort of getting there in the heat! Great depth and color.

Jen - Thomas Jefferson was so intrigued by the Natural Bridge that he purchased the property on which it stands. At one time there was a roadway atop it, though from your photo, it appears that this may no longer be the case. This photo captures the landmark beautifully. Kudos! Thad

Such a lot of lovely detail to add value to a fine composition Jen - One of those shots that give a 'being there ' feeling.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . .
