Hello Jen...Very strong composition and lighting is superb. You have taken advantage of a fantastic situation....The driftwood as your foreground certainly enhances this scene....Well done...All the very best to you Jen....Mick.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
Jen - I don't think the dog will pick up any of these pieces of driftwood while going for a walk on the beach! Many good things in this image - the lighting, lines, depth, and tones. Thad
Thad has not mentioned the textures as I see them - timber, stones, sand, far away grassy hills and last not least - the clouds !!! Their texture is what speaks to me most clearly.... Thanks, dear Jen, and congratulations. As you see this would be hard for me to avoid viewing and commenting on my friends images here, in fact I have more time for this now and feel more comfortable being almost like in the beginning - just the viewer and admirer. Yours SAM
Think you'd place more emphasis on the main subject material with less sky, Jen. At least down to the top of the huge cloud. I've never seen a driftwood tree complete with full root system. Quite possibly the victim of a tsunami.
