Nessebar, Bulgaria, is one of the oldest towns in Europe. It is the successor of the ancient Thracian settlement called Messembria founded in the second century AD. In 510 AD Dorian settlers turned it into a Greek colony. The town had seen a lot of ages and changes through its history. This is my shy attempt to paint a part of the old wall that was surrounding the town for thousands of years.

Hi there...well your "shy attempt" is wonderful!! I could NOT be able to paint those bricks and all the details you showed here..I love how you captured this wonderful place. You painted the textures so well!! the street, the grass, the water..the sky...but most of all the details in the old wall...Its maginificient!! Thank you so very much for showing it to us...

Hi, Jenny. Very well indeed :) You've painted it wonderful and I feel like i am really there and I guess you feel a little homesick.
I have only one remark. It looks very still and deserted which in real life is not :).

Very dreamlike to me...and I like it! I wish I would have stayed in art school long enough to understand "which paints to use, the correct brushes, etc". I never went beyond pencil and charcoal. Thank you for sharing your talent with everyone!

I'm not into paintings, but I like this. I like the contrast of the colors very much.

Thank you all guys for your support on Messembria. Your words really encouraged me to paint more and more. However, I had my 15 minutes of fame and the the caedes Mods made a professional artistic judgment that the painting is not valuable enough to enter the Perm galleries.  However, I will not stop painting, but opposite – I will prove myself I can do better. And I will always remember that the important opinion is actually your opinion, so again, thanks for your support and see you!
