beautiful colors and proper exposure. i'm not sure what you want to draw the viewers attention to though - the path, the trees or the building in the background. try recomposing the shot if you have a chance, maybe move to one side of the path.
Thanks for all your comments. Actually, danmus, I think I was trying to emphasize a bit of all 3. I tried this shot from several angles, and I think this one worked the best... I liked how the distant building kind of gave the shot a "going home" feeling...
Love the colours and the dappled sunlight hitting the ground. Nice clarity in the image.
Good composition. Your comments put into words the 'feel' that I did get from viewing this one. There is an editorial thought suggested here ... that, of going home. That is, if you wanted to leave this particular Eden. Tempting not to, and all puns intended.
Thanks for sharing.
p.s. And I think that this image should substitute for a doctor's note for having taken the day off ;) .
Maybe you should go walkabout more often, this is a beauty. At first I wasn’t sure about the shed but decided that it made me stop and think so it has added interest, and that’s OK. I really like the greenery at the end of the path, it gives the eye somewhere to rest before exploring the scenery again.
I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings:
And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill.
That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes.
We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not.
Yet so the universe was wrought .
Thought is another name for fate.
Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.
autumnal colours here in poland are just as amazing and ive been trying to catch a dappled scene for the last two weeks
well done, you beat me to it :)
i like the fact that youve gone for tree trunks rather than try to incorporate the whole of the individual canopies too, it makes for a much tighter shot, gives the whole scene a bounded feeling with the ceiling created by the forest canopy
feels very warm and cosy wraped in all those warm colours
Very bright and colorful image you have taken, love the follage of brilliant yellow...exceptional scene. This seems so inviting. Great shot and great clarity displayed. Nice work from you!
