A reminder that beginning Sunday, March 8 at 2:00 a.m. we move our clocks forward one hour in the U.S. However, there are exceptions, Hawaii and most of Arizona do not follow Daylight Savings Time. The U.S. territories of Guam, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands and American Samoa also do not observe DLS. Many countries near the equator do not adjust their clocks for daylight saving. Neither China nor Japan observe DLS. Some countries refer to "Daylight Saving Time" as "Summer Time." p.s. this image was shot in real time as the watch indicates!!!

I did not realize Daylight Savings Time was creeping up so soon...thanks for the heads-up...and a very creative idea including the watch in this sunny, floral display...let's hope we'll see that sunshine and not what I see out my window today...snow and more snow...nice work.

I wish they would leave it one way or the other Laura. I feel like they steal an hour of sleep from me every spring. I don't feel good until they give it back in the fall. :)
Sweet reminder.

Are there states and/or countries that move the clock forward for just half an hour Laura? LOL!!! Just kidding of course.
All those different times are rather confusing, so my reference was and is GMT.

Very apt and fine capture to illustrate this phenomenon. Very well done!

Whenever I hear of the time change coming up, I know that Spring is soon to follow. Beautiful shot of the foofies in the glass with the watch hung over it. (That IS right, right?)

These daffodils look beautiful in the bright light Laura. Our time change on the last Sunday of March. When you are closer to the equator you don#t need any daylight saving time - most of "Arizona" ? A state with two different time zones? That is really not necessary !!

Are Your daffodils blooming? Mine are thinking about but I think they are saying it is still too cold this year. This is clever and pretty and a good reminder for those who have manual clocks. All my clocks change themselves now - it is so much better. That way You don't have to think about losing an hour.

Very clever and beautiful at the same time Laura - I think we've pushed the start of daylight savings time a bit too early in the US - seems like the end of March would be a better choice.

From what I know in Poland this will be done on 28 March. Like in majority of European countries most probably. In the US it should also depend maybe on the location - in LAPD we should know something about it but since this particular Lt Columbo has no wife, then how is he to know...? Boris the King of All Dog aka SAAB does not know either... LOL

A thoughtful arrangement and clear image Laura, seeing the watch reminds me of my grandparents who had a porcelain cat that cling to a rim of a vase.

On the subject of time, since recent atom clocks are so incredibly accurate now some organisations want the world to stop adjusting time to the planets irregular cycles. Just imagine in 10,000 years time the worlds calender may not be in tune with the seasons, that's course for concern.

I thought maybe you put the flowers in a time out for misbehaving. Nice clarity and colours in the photo and a timely reminder to change the clocks.
