Yesterday, while taking some shots of my mums, a cabbage white landed squarely within camera range and just stayed there. I think he liked to have his picture taken and now wants to be seen on Caedes - here he is - Kindly Enjoy!!!!!!!!

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

Nice shot, Laura.

+favs for me.

And..

But, of course.. thank you for sharing this one with us.

The colours are particularly striking and.. erhm.. topical for the season?

Well-composed as well.

Good good job.

A great shot of the cabbage white which are pretty heavy around at this time of year.

Laura, meanwhile I've taken a lot of butterfly images, but none of a cabbage white. They behave that nervous when I ask them to pose for a portrait, that I've never succeeded in capturing a good image of them, ☺ ☺ ☺ .
Judging this one, you had either better luck, better skills, or knows the way to make them feel at ease.
Anyhow very well done!

That's a very nice capture Laura. Get a few shots like this, then start creeping up on the critter. Some have strict boundaries, but others are more flexible and will let you get quite close. I did that once with Tarantula Hawk wasps, but never again. Anyway, just keep practicing your Ninja skills and getting the great close-ups. Happy shooting.
