These flowers are called Alstroemeria and are more commonly known as the Peruvian Lily. They get their name from a Swedish Baron, the discoverer. His proper name is Baron Claus von Alstromer. I love the colors of this particular flower as well as the back lighting and have selected this image to be my entry into the current contest. Kindly Enjoy!!!!!!!!

I thought it said Swedish Bacon and my mouth started watering Laura.
After looking at the photo, nothing changed. It still is mouth watering.

Viewing your photo early this morning, I came to realize that no matter how hard man tries to accomplish tasks, nature gives us so much, we need to learn from nature. Your capture is stunning, the beauty of the flower comes through brilliantly, especially unique is the lighting. This is definitely a favorite for me, best of luck on the contest!
