John 10:3-5 (New King James Version) "...and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.”

Well Jess, I already reacted in a personal message, but I also want to say it here that I think this is a great shot because I am one of those sheeps!
It's a beautifull composition that means more to me then only a picture!
Well done!

Jess,

Thank you for sharing this! What a beautiful, meaningful picture. The Bible passage, John 10:3-5, is portrayed so well here. I know these sheep would follow no other than this one shepherd; the same is true with the Good Shepherd and his sheep.

As for the picture itself --it is superb! The composition is flawless; the buildings fit in authentically with the mood; the trees and hedges are lovely, and I see a bit of a dirt road there to the right, and oh --the grass! I haven't seen such lovely greenery since July of last year. (The absence of trees in this area of the Arctic where I live does cause the land to be dismal, but that gives more reason to search for God's beauty; all is His creation.)

What a bright spot this image added to my day! (It's on my favorites.) Thank you so much!

In Christ alone,

Naomi

P.S. Happy Valentine's day!

Hi Jess,
I like the shot for its composition,
I do like the tree on the right and the form in the background,
A beautiful scenery in the front accomplishes wonderfully with this,

Thanks for sharing

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes
