An excellent capture. How did you get so close without scaring the little critter off? The DOF is great but maybe just very slightly out of focus on the mouse, otherwise, brilliant.

I’m amazed that he stayed there long enough for you to get a photograph. It looks like your camera has focused in front of the mouse. It’s a delightful photo despite the focus issue.

thanks for the comments. i do agree it is a bit out of focus but it's not often i get a picture of a wild mouse at such close range so i suppose i rushed a bit.

You should have gotten his autograph too. You never know he may be a relation to Remy the star of Pixars new film. Rattitoui (sp ??). An like the film the capture of this little critter is cute. Your focus is good and I love the way the background is out of focus. Aces in my book.
