Ever since my family and I moved into our new home, this little critter has been visiting us looking for a treat. He doesn't seem the least bit shy...can't wait for spring so we can see him again!
You have certainly captured your neighbourhood squirrel in a classic pose. I love the pose and the depth of field is great but I think that your squirrel is very slightly out of focus. This is more obvious when viewed in full-screen.Otherwise a good shot.
People often say that 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder,' and I say that the most liberating thing about beauty is realizing that you are the beholder. This empowers us to find beauty in places where others have not dared to look, including inside ourselves. -Salma Hayek
I think your squirrel's not sure if you're just 'shooting' a picture... :) 'Nice wallpaper image -- I might clone out the building in the background... keep experimenting!
Yes I agree the buildings are a distraction and some post work cloning them out would help keep the eye busy on the squirrel. I like it though, it has a naturalistic feel often lacking in such shots. I think I may have levelled the horizontal too in keeping with the top edge of the post. Tommy
Cute and hungry little booger ain't he?? Agree with above, some post work could enhance this a little more for all our squirrel lovers here on Caedes.net!! A little work on levels, curves and gamma and maybe the horizontal line...maybe even a wee crop 'n' chop with a frame?? Keep'em coming as we always wanna see more!!
