A goalkeeper warming up before the second half of her soccer game. It's meant to have a really soft feel and it's meant to be semi-abstract. I know this may not be for some but i'd love to know your thoughts on the image.
I'm not sure that everyone would be able to interpret this one without your commentary, Emily, but I very much see what you are trying to do here. Maybe if the light overhead wasn't so direct. I like the monotone color and the silhouettes.
"A deranged and horribly mutated Giant Spider has attacked and wrapped up a defensless member of the Brazillian soccer team."
But then I realized what it was, and it kind of started to grow on me.
I like the soft feel. It has the feeling of the games a child goes to for the first time with his family. He can just barely remember bits and pieces of it, but it is more of mix of feelings and slight images than real memories. Very interesting.
I live the hexagons of the netting, the way the net itself curves, the straight lines of the poles and this detached leg coming in from the side. I like the sun like spotlights off centre. I like the softness of it and the plain weirdness of the shot - I mean how did you think of it? In short I rather like it so I shall add it to my faves.
I love this photo!! Love it!! It's so warm and pleasing to the eye... and I love the perspective most of all. It took me a minute to see the soccer player's limbs, which made it all the more interesting. Nice work!
